Μια εκτεταμένη deluxe έκδοση του πέμπτου τους άλμπουμ, Nimrod, με τίτλο Nimrod XXV, καθώς και ακυκλοφόρητα demo από τις ηχογραφήσεις αποκάλυψαν οι Green Day, 25 χρόνια μετά από την κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ.
Είκοσι πέντε χρόνια…

Στο άλμπουμ συμπεριλαμβάνονταν 18 κομμάτια, ωστόσο η ιαπωνική έκδοση περιείχε ένα μπόνους κομμάτι με τίτλο «Desensitized» ενώ η αυστραλιανή άλλα τρία, τα «Suffocate», «Do Da Da» και «You Lied». Από τα τρία τελευταία, κανένα δεν περιέχεται στο Nimrod XXV, στο οποίο, πάντως, περιέχεται το «Desensitized» καθώς και demo για άλλα επτά κομμάτια που τελικά δεν συμπεριλήφθηκαν πουθενά στο παρελθόν.
Δύο από αυτά, τα «You Irritate Me» και «Tre Polka» ήταν τελείως άγνωστα στο κοινό, μέχρι σήμερα, που κυκλοφόρησε το «You Irritate Me» μαζί με τις λεπτομέρειες για το νέο άλμπουμ.

Το Nimrod XXV θα κυκλοφορήσει στις 27 Ιανουαρίου σε ψηφιακή έκδοση, CD boxset και boxset με βινύλιο (τρία CD, πέντε βινύλια μαζί με 20σελιδο βιβλιαράκι, ένα ύφασμα, ένα backstage pass και διάφορα άλλα δώρα).
